Our testers appreciated the ease of access offered by the side panel, that can be moved up and down with one click of a button. This was especially helpful in the evening when feeding time was over, since they could reach in and pick up their baby without waking them.

The side panel can be lifted on its own however, it's not advised as it increases the risk of your baby falling out of the cot. But, the patented safety locking mechanism ensures that it can only remain in place if it is connected to the parent's bed correctly. This feature can be very beneficial to have peace of mind when you are breastfeeding and need frequent night feeds.

The Chicco Next2Me Magic is designed to be compatible with any bed, including divan bases and beds with drawers thanks to the legs that can be telescopic. It comes with a tilting function for babies with reflux, as well as an option to rock to calm them after a meal. It is also very spacious and has excellent ventilation due to its mesh sides.

The Next2Me Magic was easy to use and set up for our testers, despite the lengthy instruction manual. The cot conversion kit is also well-designed, with clear instructions. It includes everything you need. It took us around an hour to put together and was reasonably straightforward. The only issue with the instructions was that certain images were not captioned. This made it difficult to follow. However, overall it was a simple process and the quality of materials used was high.

In the co-sleeping mode, we found the Shnuggle Air to be an ideal choice for breastfeeding mothers and women who have had a c-section because it lets them comfortably reach out to their newborn to feed and comfort them without having to leave their bed. It's ideal for parents who do not want to go through the hassle of putting their baby in a traditional cot, or getting them out of it.

The motion of gliding was found to be very helpful in lulling babies into sleep after feedings during the midday or at night. The drop-down side is also accessible to feed or soothe babies during the middle of the night, which was a real selling point for our exhausted test moms.
